The project successfully secured funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to facilitate the repair and refurbishment of this Grade II Listed former Cart Lodge. Works comprised the refurbishment of the historic Victorian School building to house museum displays and facilities. Construction works were also undertaken to provide a new environmentally controlled collections store, and the creation of a new dedicated multi-functonal learning space and research room.
HERA were appointed to provide expert construction advice as the project developed, through to completion. Retained as Lead Monitor; our role focussed on the assessment of risk, funding, programme, costs and cashflow, project governance and management, and operational viability.
