The restoration of Felixstowe Seafront Gardens has successfully completed, and delivered against all of the approved outcomes of their National Lottery Heritage Fund grant award. HERA Consultants were involved in the project since the original grant award, working with the funder and applicant to manage key risks and issues experienced over the life of the project. This unique landscape on the seafront of Felixstowe has secured several awards since it’s completion, and visitor feedback continues to be positive for the improvements made as a result of the project.
A project which encouraged ecological diversity, protecting sensitive habitats and species, and the reinstatement of horticultural and historic garden interest, restoring view, and the reinstatement of shelters, informed by the original design intentions of the gardens.
Delivery Project Monitor and Expert Advice to the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the delivery team, HERA have been an integral part of the project delivery, providing support, advice and expertise, on funding, project management, risks and delivery issues.
