Following a successful Round 1 Award from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for The Courtyard project, HERA were appointed to work with the grantee, Manchester Museum, to ensure that the project delivers the approved purposes as contracted, ensure that the National Lottery Heritage Fund are appropriately advised of risks and that these are adequately managed and understood.
Our role has also involved ensuring that best practice is achieved in all critical areas, and that financial reporting and management is appropriate.
A detailed review of all documents at draft stage has been undertaken prior to a formal Round 2 application for grant funding; guidance, support and advice has been provided, to feedback to the grantee team, on key areas and proposals, to strengthen the project, in its efforts to secure a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant to implement works to create a Museum for Life through the creation of a new build venue which integrates into the existing historic Courtyard for temporary exhibitions, together with a South Asia Gallery.
Successfully securing a Round 2 Award, we will now work with the grantee through the Delivery Phase.
